ac will run on that as long as you do not turn on any other appliance.
AC should only pull about 13- 15 amps.

You do not say how new the rv is but if it is fairly new odds are the wireing is already there. It is a real simple install. All you have to do is dig around a little and find them and plug n play.

Many thanks for the info.I finally got thru to thier web site. Verizon was haveing trouble. I have ben using a blanket on the dash but my little dog keeps sliding it off and i am afraid he is going to tear the dash with his toe nails. I called and ordered from Josies, Best price i found.

Is philco a brand? And what is BSAT?
YES PHILCO is a very old brand. BSAT.NEThere it is is a web company on the list of approved vendors on the govt. site.

Important to note that all have same basic functionality but there are differences. A number of reviews can be found via Google.
Also, if you can wait for a while, the government will provide you with up to (2) free $40 coupons. Makes the boxes extremely cheap.

NOT all the same.if you do not get one with pass thru you will have to do a go around with a-b switch. There will be some local stations not broadcasting in digital. Only problem is none with pass thru are available at this time.

Myself and my lady friend are working at a private c-ground this summer in N.C. We will work four days @ 4 hours each and four days off.the rest of the time is ours. We will get site,propane, cable,hook ups,laundry and propane. Not to mention a beautiful setting.

Good luck on finding one with pass thru. The only brands that have pass thru are not available anywhere that i have found. I have another thread on this issue and got some good replies.

I'm the suspicious type. And don't get me started on how well this is orchestrated by the beltway. Wasn't the conversion suppose to be completed by 2005?
Radio Shack will mail you one( or more) free in less than a week.. Just the 59.00 charge less of course the coupon 40.00 so net 19.99

You are correct no pass through but for ones without ...
I just walked into a radio shack in Milwaukie Oregon Wednesday 4/16 the clerk/ Manager said he was out but could have one sent to me in less than a week ... I watched him place the order and got a Fedex tracking # in my hand Soooo.... I guess my story is a rarity???? (or going INTO the store and talking to someone may make a difference)!!!. They all.... WalMart Best Buy etc. added that they receive stock on Thur or Fri and run out quickly and told me to come back Thur and Fri to check so that may be a tip. As stated I have found NO models with Pass through ... so use the work around, or wait.
I am not haveing a problem finding a converter box it is finding one with pass thru that is a problem. Walmart, Best buy and all the big box stores have plenty without pass thru.

Available pass thru
OK i have searched high and low for one of the boxes that are supposed to have pass thru. All the web sights i have found are out of stock and none of the local big box places carry one with pass thru. Any ideas. Thanks for any help.OOPS sorry i am talking about the digital to analog box for tv.
